Persuasive Speech

Our last speech was a persuasive speech, where we had to persuade the audience of something. I had a very hard time trying to come up with an topic for this one. I even looked on the interent and found huge lists of ideas, but I could not find one that fit me.
Finally I choose the topic of "Eating Ourselves to Death". It is about how America is a very unhealthy country, and we really need to realize these issues and take care of our bodies. This topic related to me because being unhealthy can lead to Diabetes, and my Dad has that. His case is not very serious, because he takes such good care of himself now, he does not need insulin or other meds to keep him healthy. BUT diabetes can get very serious and getting up higher on the list of killer diseases. Since my Dad has this, our house is full of healthier food, so it is pretty imporatnat ot me to eat healty and take care of myself. It is very important to take care of our bodies during our younger years, because it really affects how healthy we will be when we get older and how long we will live. i don't know about you, but i want to live as long as i can.
